I am always open to discussion of the Lord's words in a meaningful way, that is finding the truth according to our Creator and our Savior not the truth according to any man..  I look forward to hearing from any and all who are interested in exploring the bible in search of the truth.

Why do I believe in The Living God?

There are many stories that have been told throughout time about different Gods, how the world was made, how man was made, etc.  Out of all the stories there is only one that is different from all the others.  The story of The Living God as told about in The Holy Bible as translated by King James.  This Holy Bible tells that The Living God spoke the world, and all that is in it, into exestence.

It also tells us of how The Living God loved Man (the race of man) and had a plan for man before the world was created.(I Peter 1:20 - Jesus was foreordained to become the perfect sacrifice before the foundation of the world: Jesus fortold of to Adam and Eve, Genesis 3:15:  Jesus fortold of to Abraham, Genesis 11:3)

But something we also learn about The Living God is that there is no other Living God and that he is true to his word.  Some people say The Holy Bible contridicts itself and therefore it is not reliable to base every aspect of your life on,  I have not found this to be so.  If read and considered carefully, then you will begin to see how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together.

There is also history as recorded in other books written by different cultures and archeologican finding that prove the authenticity of The Holy Bible.  Those who are truly searching for the truth and research this will come to the same conclusion.  As I learn more, I gain understanding of the plan God has had for man before the world began, how he has been executing his plan and will finish it just as he said he would.

Another important thing about God is that he is dependable, he will do just as he said he would do.  The Holy bible is consistent in showing his dependibility.  If you made a list of characteristice of The Living God and other gods that are told about,  you will find that they do not have the Goodness that The Living God has.  We can see this in the commandments he has given us.

The Holy Bible  says  in Matthew 22:35 - 40 -Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him and saying, "Teacher, which is the great commandent in the law?"  Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it:  You shall love your neighbor as yourself".  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

In the New Testament as given to us by Jesus and His diciples,  love is the theme throughout all the writings.  We are even to love our enemies and those that despise us.(Matthew 5:43-44:Luke 6:27-36)  We are not to hurt anyone physically or mentally by doing any evil against them even if we are mad.(I Thessalonians 5:15)  These are commandments we are to live by.

In keeping God's commandments , a Christian is not to satifsfy fleshly desires that are sinful in God's eyes (against God's will).  These sins (things against God's will) fall into three catagories:  1)  Lust of the Flesh, (which is adultery, fornication, etc) 2)  Lust of the Eyes (whcih is Coveteousness, envying, etc) and 3) They Pride of Life (which is pride in riches of the world, pride of superiority over others, etc) (I John 2:16:Galations 5:19-23)

This means we can't do as we might want to if it is fleshly.  What he asks of us is good for us and for those around us.  No other God written about, requires only Goodness to be done other than The Living God written about in The Holy Bible.

The Living God is Dependable and Good.  If you love these qualities, your love for The Living God will grow as you learn more of Him.
